Chapter 6

hiii guise :) the few of you that comment I do look at your stuff and incorporate some of your ideas in the story. Anyhoe this is going to be about two months ahead. I'm also not very educated on the process of a multiple pregnancy. So bare with me. Enjoy :)


   Nicki was sleeping soundly in Safaree's bed while he was getting ready for work. She was taking all of her classes online because she was confined to bed rest and Safaree opted for night school so he could begin working to help take care of Nicki and the babies. He put on his work shirt and his name tag before making his was over to Nicki. It was 5:30 in the morning. His shift was from 6 to 6 at the local grocery store.

  "Nicki" Safaree whispered as he shook her lightly. He began to kiss her all over her face until she finally woke up and stared at him.

  "Babeee" she whined. "The babies keep me up all night and you tryna wake me up at 5:30?"

  He began to rub her growing baby bump as she fussed at him. He knew that would keep her happy for their brief moment together.

 "I have to be at work at 6. I got someone to cover the last half of my shift so we can go to the doctors appointment together at 1." He said as he smiled hard, excited to finally confirm the sex of the babies.

  "You did?!" she squealed as her eyes lit up with excitement. "I know there's a girl in here. I can feel it"

  She rubbed her baby bump in circles as her and Safaree continued to talk about the babies. It was going on 5:45 and Safaree had to leave for work. He kissed her goodbye, then headed out the door to begin his long day.

  Nicki was silently thanking God that Safaree got the last half of his shift covered, because she didn't want to have to go alone with his mom. Nicki was still scared about become a mother at 15. Although Safaree's mom was beyond supportive and allowed her to live in her home, she was still scared shitless.

  Safaree, Nicki, and Safaree's mom walked into the doctors office together. Safaree signed her in while the two ladies went and sat down.

  "Hi, Onika Maraj is here for her 1 o'clock appointment."

 "Yes Sir, have a seat. The doctor will be right with you."

 Safaree made his way back over to them. He put his arm around her as he noticed how nervous and embarrassed she looked.

  "It still bothers you huh?" he asked quietly.

  "Yeah. I feel like everyone's judging my age without knowing the story," she finally let a tear escape.

  "Onika Maraj" The lady called snapping Nicki out of her feelings. She was genuinely excited to see what she was having, Safaree more so than her.

  They walked back to the room and Nicki sat on the table. She laid back while Safaree walked over to hold her hand. She was shaking.

  "God Faree, what if the second baby is still really small." she said with a voice full of sadness.

  Safaree rubbed her arm gently. "Babe i'm sure everythings fine. Stop stressing."

  Dr.Smith strolled with a huge smile on her face. She just adored Nicki and Safaree. She built a great relationship with them.

  "Onika! Hi baby," she practically yelled. "Are you ready to know the sex of the babies?"

  "Yes ma'am, Also when I was in the hospital they said Baby B was small,"

  "Alright well let's have a look!" she said as she smiled sweetly at her.

  She got the ultrasound machine set up while Nicki pulled up her shirt showing off her almost 6 month belly, while unbuttoning her jeans.

  "Well your belly size seems to be on the right track, so lets look at the kiddies," she said as she chuckled lightly.

 She placed the gel on Nicki's belly and moved it around. Her face scrunched up as she looked quizzically at the screen.

 "Baby A is most definitely a boy babe, look at that thing!" The Doctor and Nicki burst out laughing.

 The doctor began to study the screen again, searching for Baby B.

 "Well Baby B is trying to play hide and seek," she said giggling.

 Still looking, she finally got a good look at Baby B.

 "Well, Nicki sweetie, it seems to me that you'll be having your baby girl," Dr. Smith beamed.

 "I told you Faree! I knew I was having at least one girl," she squealed excitedly. Safaree's mom was just smiling across the room, excited for them.

 The mood quickly changed as Doctor Smith studied the screen some more.

 "Onika, do you eat properly?" She looked at her sympathetically.

 "Yes Ma'am, and I eat pretty healthy. Is something going to happen to my little girl?" Nicki asked, tears welling in her eyes.

 "Oh baby, don't cry. She'll be fine, But i'm going to give you a list of foods you should eat regularly to get her size up. Sound good?" she asked rubbing Nicki's leg.

 The doctor handed Nicki her papers and Pre-natal vitamins and sent them on their way.

 "I'll see you in a month love. If you need anything or something is wrong, don't hesitate to call," she called out to her.

 "Yes ma'am. Thank you!"

 Safaree's mom dropped them off at home, while she went out for the night. Nicki and Safaree were laying in his bed. Nicki had been crying since they'd gotten home about the baby being so small. She started cramping and decided to lay down, Safaree following suit.

  "Nic, you have to calm down. The babies feel everything you do, so you have to relax. That's why you're cramping so much," he said climbing in behind her.

  He wrapped his arm around her and started rubbing her belly, trying everything he could to calm her down.

  "Faree, what if something happens to her. I just want my little munchkins to be healthy," she said still sobbing.

 "Just follow doctors orders. Don't be gettin' up for any unnecessary reasons and eat healthy. They'll be fine babe. I promise."

 She turned over and cuddled into him. She stared up into his eyes.

 "Do you ever picture our life sometimes? Like after they get here?" she asked nervously.

  "Yes babe. All the time. I even have dreams about them." He said looking down at her.

  "Oh! Tell me one pleaseeeeee" she begged, a smile spreading across her face.

  He knew it would calm her down and make her happy so he built up the courage to tell her.

  "Okay," he sighed. "I keep having this dream, its literally like every night," he began.

  "you're here at this house, and the kids are around 3. The little girl, god, she's so beautiful Nic." she looked at him and began blushing.

   "she looked like your twin, just a bit smaller. She had you're almond shaped eyes and long gorgeous hair flowing down her back. Our son, he was was really tall for his age. He had short curly hair and you're big smile," he laughed of embarrassment as he continued his vivid dream.

  "You were standing at the stove cooking dinner. The little girl came running through the kitchen and wrapped her tiny arms around your thigh. She just stared at you while you were cooking, adoring your every move," Nicki was now crying. She had always imagined her and her daughter being close.

  "What about my son?" she said rubbing her belly. Her cramps were slowly subsiding.

  "He was sitting on the floor beside you guys playing with his cars," he said laughing.

  "Is that it Faree? Where were you during this," she asked eagerly, excited that he really loved them.

  "My dream ends there," he said sadly.

  "Awh," she frowned. "do you want them to call you daddy?"

  He leaned down and pecked her lips.

  "Of freaking course Nic," he said in between kisses.

  "You're so sweet Faree."

  She cuddled further into him and drifted off to sleep. She was exhausted and needed a nap.



guys sorry this is kind of short :( I need to think of some drama to incorporate in the story. any ideas?
